For the past twenty years, Katie has cultivated her passion for helping students learn. She is a graduate of Vanderbilt University with degrees in both Cognitive Studies and Psychology. Katie has done extensive research on the curriculums of various schools, built relationships with admission and learning resource departments, and has the knowledge and experience to usher your family through the admission's process for college, boarding school, and day school. She is dedicated to helping each student find the school or college environment where they can thrive.
Katie is an Professional Member with the Independent Educational Consultants Association as well as a member of the Higher Education Consultants Association, Southern Association for College Admission Counseling, Small Boarding School Association and The Association of Boarding Schools. She received her certificate in Educational Consulting from the University of California at Irvine. Katie also attends professional conferences each year along with personally visiting college and boarding school campuses and meeting with admissions personnel..
For over twenty years Trish has shared her passion for life-long learning with teenagers at independent schools in the southeast, as well as through the work of the educational nonprofit she founded in 2010. Having studied English, Environmental Science and Adolescent Psychology, both in undergraduate and graduate work, Trish approaches all aspects of life with an open mind, a focus on creative problem solving and a desire to always listen and learn.
Trish’s knowledge and experience brings to GREC a component of support that most college consulting firms lack. Her expertise in adolescent learning and learning differences, emotional and social maturity and education best practices allows Trish to connect with families and provide unparalleled support whether it is the admission’s process for college, boarding school or day schools. Trish is dedicated to inspiring students to challenge themselves so they can walk confidently and optimistically as life-long learners.
